The “crown jewel” of the National Football League, Raymond James Stadium is the home of the NFL's Tampa Bay Buccaneers, University of South Florida Bulls football and the New Year's Day Outback Bowl, as well as concerts and special events. It was also the host of Super Bowl XXXV on January 28, 2001. A survey of players by the NFL Players Association in 1998 rated Raymond James Stadium as the best NFL playing field.
